Chicken Packs (Empanadas): How to make Chicken Packs [Easy Recipe]

 


Chicken Packs

1.         Chicken

Ingredients:

1.          Chicken boneless    ½ kg.

2.          Onions                     2medium sized

3.          Tomatoes                6medium sized

4.          Ginger, Garlic Paste           2tbs.

5.          Fresh coriander                     

6.          Green chili if not for kids.   2-4

7.          Red chili ground                  ½ tbs

8.          Salt                                        to taste

9.           Garam masala                     ½ tbs.

10.     Coriander powder             1tbs

11.     Turmeric                              1pinch                      

12.     Black peppers                       ½ tbs.

13.      Cooking oil                            ½ Cup


Dough

Ingredients

1.         All-purpose flour                 2 cups

2.         Salt                                         1 pinch

3.         Cooking oil                            4 tbs.

 

Raw Filling                   

Ingredients

1.         Onion raw                1 medium sized

2.         Tomatoes raw         2 small fresh

3.         Coriander                  1 handful

4.          Black peppers            ½ tbs.

5.           Salt                            to taste[1pinch]

 


Chicken preparation

Step by step:

1.         Put ½ cup cooking oil in a pan.

2.         Put chopped onions stir fry till golden brown in color.

3.         Add tomatoes small pieces.

4.         Add ginger, garlic paste.

5.         Add green chili cut in small pieces.

6.         Add red chili powder.

7.         Add salt, turmeric.

8.         Add water and let cook for few minutes.

9.         Add chicken into it.

10.   Cook chicken for five minutes in oil.

11.   Add water to soften.

12.   Cover it and leave it on medium flame till gets dry.

13.   Add fresh Coriander leaves.

14.   Turn off the heat and dish out.

15.    Make it into shredded or very small pieces of chicken.

 


Dough Preparation

1.         Take 2cups all-purpose flour.

2.         Add 1pinch salt

3.         Add 4 tbs. Cooking oil

4.         Knead it with adding water gradually.

5.          Form dough ready to roll.

6.         Leave it for fifteen minutes in a refrigerator.

 

Raw filling preparation

1.         Chop onions thin and fine.

2.         Cut tomatoes thin very small pieces.

3.         Cut a hand full coriander thinly.

4.         Green chili [if packs are not for kids].

5.         Add ½ tbs. black pepper.

6.          Add 1 pinch [to taste] salt.

7.          Mix all the ingredients well.

 

*** Mix Shredded chicken and     raw ingredients to prepare the filling.

 


Packs Preparation

1.         Take the dough, make medium sized balls.

2.         Roll and turn into a thin round shape.

3.          Put the already prepared filling in the center.

4.         Fold it and twist the edges with the moist hands [with water].

5.         Dust the tray and place packs.

6.         Turn on the stove on a medium flame.

7.         Fill the pan for the deep frying.

8.         Put packs when moderately hot.

9.         Let not burn the upper part, leaving inside not cooked properly.

10.   Flip the side when golden brown to cook both sides well.

11.   Dish out on a tissue paper to let excessive oil absorbed.

 

Serve with the ketchup or any dip sauce.
